PCC-Tactical Division

Aero-JP 9mm PCC

  • Lower: Aero 9mm Glock lower, CMC 9mm trigger, Taccom magwell, Blitzkrieg PCC buffer and Luth carbine stock
  • Upper: JP BCG, JP HG, JP brake, Anderson receiver, KVP barrel
  • Vortex Strikefire red dot
  • 40rnd ETS, TF extended 27rnd, ETS-MBX extended 57rnd mags and Magpul D-50 drum
  • 124gr Xtreme RN loads (4.2gr N320, Win SPP primers, 1.10 OAL)

Lee’s 224Valkyrie AR

  • 224V AR
  • Vortex Strike Eagle 5-25x
  • Lee’s 224V ammo

Removed the Tac-light from the PCC as it got in the way with ports. Besides, this isn’t a night shoot.

Stage 2

  • P1 – 4/4; P2 – 5/4; P3 – 5/4.
  • Safety was sticking so flicking it on and off for movement took some fiddling with.
  • 13th out of 49.

Stage 3

  • Not seen: big balloon filled bag with a bell making us look like tactical elves. Bag had to be carried, so the first steps is taking the bag and shouldering it.
  • Mags staged, reload required at each position.
  • Clean, 4th.

Stage 4

  • PCC can only shoot in the back positions. Start at the middle back position, shooting freestyle. Left position shot left shouldered, right position shot right shouldered (freestyle).
  • Id’d my targets at each position; shot as planned.
  • Shooting left shouldered and I tried shouldering on the left but working the trigger with my right hand (rather than the ‘normal’ left shoulder, left hand shooting). Had to close my right eye so my left eye could see through the red dot. First time shooting this way and I think normal weak shoulder shooting is more comfortable.
  • Clean; 4th.

Stage 5

  • Start seated, gun staged on table. Engage only the popper from this position.
  • Left to right from the second position.
  • Not seen: back kick to the popper/activator for the clamshell. The popper was a step or 2 deep behind the wall. With my left foot planted where I needed it to be for shooting, I quickly looked back (twice) to sight the popper and back-kicked it. Enough time to hit the clamshell.
  • Finish on the tree and last paper.
  • Clean; 6th.

Stage 1

  • Start in car, gun with mag in, chamber empty.
  • Takes me a few seconds to get out of the car.
  • Rack, then ran the plan. Drum loaded with Norma 115gr Training ammo.
  • First area, saved time by bending over instead kneeling to shoot through the low port.
  • Climbed the ramp, but getting down was sloooow.
  • Steel 1 for 1 at the 75yd steel.
  • Clean; 11th

The Good

  • Clean match.
  • PCC work.
  • Norma 115s good for PCC LR.
  • Magpul drum works.
  • Being able to run.

Needs Improvement

  • Mobility work.
  • Keep on with cleaning up the diet and rehabbing the right leg.
  • Keep working on mobility.

Finished 6th out of 51 overall and 1st out of 15 in PCC-Tac.
